Summary: "Simple solution to an awful problem"
I have a wonderful Steelcase desk at home and another at work. These desks have only one major flaw; that being shortness. Well, OK, ugliness too; functionally ugly. I am 6'2" (187cm) and have to work at my desk a lot. Aside from being about 2" (5cm) too low the desk's middle drawer hits the top of my legs making it uncomfortable to work at the desks. The solution was to raise the desks to an ergonomically useful height. I tried blocks of wood; which work however, are troublesome to make and get right. Then I found "Raise Its". One box allows me to raise my desk a full 5cm (2"). The ones I got are clear, and as a result blend in with the flooring better.
I bought two sets of "Raise Its". One set for home on carpet and the other for work on something they call carpet but feels more like fleeced cardboard over concrete... which I suppose it is.
